Lake Isabella from Bundy Hill

By April 5, 2016 No Comments

The final pieces are in place for Bundy Hill and we have lots of exciting news to report about the progress.

Major donations from Don and Karen Stearns and from Dennis and Sandy Olson have pushed cash contributions past the halfway point to our $240,000 goal.

The J. A. Woollam Foundation $5,000 matching challenge grant was met in just 40 days! We have already received Dr. Woollam’s match.

We have met the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation $20,000 challenge, and their match is pending.

We have met more than half of the $25,000 Isabella Bank matching challenge.

We have a new matching challenge grant up to $50,000 from The Carls Foundation.

So here is where we stand at the moment.

We have a total of $100,000 in matching pledges, meaning we only need to raise $140,000 total to meet our goal. We have now raised about $90,000 of that amount. Can you believe it? In less than six months since the campaign started, we are within $50,000 of our goal! Bundy Hill, with all of its historic, natural, geographic and cultural connections to our community, is on the verge of being permanently preserved for current and future generations, and open to the public.

Come on friends and neighbors, let’s see this through. Get your contribution in today and be a part of this important effort. We can save the “Mount” in Mount Pleasant forever!
