Annual Spring Banquet Slated for April 19th, 2018

By March 12, 2018 No Comments

We hope you will join us for our 23rd Annual Spring Banquet Fundraiser hosted by the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy at Bucks Run Golf Club on Thursday, April 19th, 2018. The event will begin with a social hour at 5:30 pm followed by a buffet dinner featuring hand-carved prime rib and champagne chicken at 6:15 pm.

The guest speakers of the evening, Carey Pauquette and Judy Stevens Pamp, AKA Waabanoqua, will talk about the cultural, natural and environmental history of the Chippewa River Watershed. Pamp is the Assistant Director of Ziibiwing Center and Pauquette is the Environmental Manager of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.

The 23rd annual banquet will feature both a silent and live auction. We’ll be auctioning off a trip to South Africa and more. There will be a 50/50 raffle and an additional raffle for a beautiful Old Town Heron 11xt Kayak. If you can’t make it, we’re looking for 20 people to donate $200 to help underwrite banquet costs.

Please consider supporting our small conservancy in a way that makes sense for you. This year, if you bring a new friend, you will be entered to win a free ticket to next year’s banquet.

Tickets are $60 in advance and $65 at the door. Checks can be mailed to Chippewa Watershed Conservancy at PO Box 896, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48804-0896. Be sure to put “Banquet” in the memo. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased online at https://goo.gl/2xSWDG. We look forward to seeing you there!
