The Chippewa Watershed Conservancy has been awarded a three-year operating support grant totaling $120,000 by The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation of Midland. The Foundation will provide $40,000 per year to help carry out our activities.

Stan Lilley executive director of the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy (CWC), stated, “This is a continuation of our partnership with The Herbert and Grace Dow Foundation that began in 2006. We’ve achieved a lot, both in terms of land preservation and public support, with the financial aid of the foundation over the years. We are excited to be able to continue to serve the people of the western side of the Saginaw Bay area with help from this new grant.”

Macauley Whiting, Jr., president of The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, added, “Our Trustees are pleased to work with CWC while it builds its funding base to become self-sustaining. CWC has demonstrated tremendous ability to partner with other organizations to accomplish projects.”

“We are grateful to The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation for their reaffirmation of support to our mission,” stated Lilley.
