Jon Breithaupt

Jon is a Traverse City, Michigan native who found his way to the Mid-Michigan region while attending school at Central Michigan University. Jon has fought wildfires in Oregon with the US Forest Service, groomed cross-country ski trails in the Rocky Mountains with Colorado Parks and Wildlife and worked in a variety of land management positions in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Jon is a Commissioner for Isabella County Parks and Recreation and serves on Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. He holds an associate degree in Business Administration from Northwestern Michigan College, Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services Administration with a concentration in Outdoor and Environmental Recreation, and is currently enrolled in Colorado State University’s Master of Natural Resources Stewardship program with a concentration in Forest Sciences. When not in the office, he can be found fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking or camping somewhere in Michigan’s forests.
