Youth Mushroom Foray

Thursday, August 16, 2012 - 10:00am

Join us for a mushroom foray at the Hall's Lake Natural Area in western Isabella County designed especially for kids. Sister Marie Kopin, local mushroom expert and Michigan Mushroom Hunter's Association whip (foray leader) will lead the walk and teach mushroom identification. Children must be accompanied by an adult. We will meet at the Neely Preserve parking lot at the intersection of Broomfield and Old State Roads (using an address of 10500 Old State Road, Remus, Michigan in Google Maps or Yahoo Maps will get you close) and walk through the Hall's Lake Natural Area as much as time allows. This event is expected to run until 1:30 p.m. and include a pot luck. A map of the area can be found on the web site by clicking on the Neely Preserve link at the right side of the home page. Please contact us at 989-644-5045 or info@ChippewaWatershedConservancy.org for additional information and to let us know if you plan to attend.
