Once in a Blue Moon Moth Hunt

July 31, 2015 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

$5

Now here’s something we don’t do very often. Come on out to the Sylvan Solace Preserve and help us look for moths during the blue moon.

Looking for moths during the summer is a late night event because it doesn’t get dark until late. CWC volunteer and Isabella Conservation District Environmental Educator Mike LeValley, and CWC Executive Director Stan Lilley will be hanging sheets and using black lights to see what kinds of moths inhabit the woods and fields of Sylvan Solace. They also have a few other tricks up their sleeves to attract moths.

We will meet at the Sylvan Solace parking area off Pickard Road. This event is free, but a $5 contribution is suggested. Don’t miss this opportunity. There won’t be another blue moon until May 2016.
