Dyke Heinze

Dyke Heinze served twenty-three years in the United States Army, his last assignment being Chair of the Military Science Department at Central Michigan University (CMU). After retirement as a lieutenant colonel, he worked as a CMU administrator in the Academic Advising Office and Honors Program. After fifteen years, Heinze finished his career at CMU as the Director of the Leadership Institute. Heinze’s community service includes serving on the United Way Volunteer Committee; member and past president of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club; member of the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy’s Board of Directors; and Advisor to the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee. Heinze and his wife Phyllis are graduates of the University of Michigan. They have two adult children, Heather and Justin, and five grandchildren.
