Florence Maxwell Audubon Woods Preserve

 40 Acres in Deerfield Township, Isabella County

Established 2008

This 100 percent wooded preserve protects scenic viewscapes along 1/4 mile of Chippewa River frontage. It has held probable nesting Louisiana Waterthrush for several years and is one of the most reliable places in Isabella County for Acadian Flycatcher. Best parking is along Gilmore Road at the NE corner of the preserve.

 This property was held from 1964 - 2008 by the Chippewa Valley Audubon Club.
